We are looking for a development manager having subject expertise in clinical development to join our Generic Development team in Generic and Consumer Health business.
Description of position
In your role as a clinical expert for generic development end to end process you are responsible for idea and feasibility evaluation and creating clinical development strategies for agreed product candidates. You will participate in generic development projects as clinical expert and build the network needed to successfully execute the clinical development tasks. You will also participate in the evaluation of documentation for new applications and give support in clinical issues during product lifecycle.
In the daily work, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as, businesses, sales organizations, life cycle management, and external parties. You will participate in several projects and give your input to products in different stages of development.
Your main responsibilities and tasks are:Clinical role in development projects
In-licensing dossier evaluations
Case evaluation in idea and feasibility phase, clinical strategy
Participate in business case preparations from clinical point of viewYou will report to the Head of Generic product Development. The location for the role can be negotiated and you can work flexibly in any of the Orion office locations within Europe in a hybrid model in accordance with Orion’s relevant guidelines. The role will require regular travelling to Orion HQ in Espoo, Finland.

Generics and Consumer Health business division’s target is to create everybody access to affordable quality medicines and help individuals to promote their health. Key customers are GPs, pharmacies, hospitals and consumers as well as B2B customers. The main objective is profitable growth – we aim to grow faster than competition in all our countries and also expand to new geographies.

To succeed in this role we expect you to haveAn applicable university degree, eg MSc./PhD in Life Sciences or Pharmacy

Fluent written and spoken English
Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
