This position is located in Software Products for Member States Unit (SPMS), Digital Transformation and Solutions (DTS) , Information Technology Service (ITS), within the Division for Management (DM) of the United Nations office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in Vienna. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the team leader of the Software Deployment/Software Deployment and Technical Training Team (SD/SDTT) and overall guidance of the Chief of the Software Products for Member States Unit. The incumbent will participate in the development, implementation and support of sustainable and affordable IT solutions to be deployed in key government institutions in Member States.ResponsibilitiesWithin assigned authority, the incumbent will perform the following specific duties: • Ensure full stack development, test, and debug applications using Angular JS, SQL and Microsoft .NET technologies (ASP.NET, MVC, WPF, and Windows Forms). • Develop, test and debug applications using Search Engine based on Elastic search. • Prepare detailed technical and user documentation for deployed computer application systems and conduct technical presentations. • Maintain functional specifications for computer application systems, programmes and procedures developed and/or modified. • Follow version managements standards for the compute application being developed. • Participate in analysing requirements and propose technically feasible solutions. Assist in the creation, maintenance and troubleshooting of DevOps pipelines, Azure Cloud and On-premises, Azure Devops, Ansible, and/or Terraform. o Ensure software integration across multiple platforms, such as API, Gateways and/or Message Bus. • Support Member states for goAML installation following the goAML’s guidelines and standards, as needed. • Assist with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making. • Perform any other work-related duties as required.Competencies

Certification in C#.NET technologies is an advantage.Job – Specific QualificationNot available.Work ExperienceA minimum of seven years of relevant technical experience in systems analysis, full stack development, test and debug applications using Angular JS, SQL and Microsoft .NET technologies (ASP.NET, MVC, WPF, and Windows Forms) is required. The minimum number of years of relevant experience is reduced to five for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Experience with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server and in designing relational databases is required. DevOps pipelines creation, maintenance and troubleshooting with Azure Cloud and On-premises, Azure Devops, Ansible, and/or Terraform is desirable. Experience in working with Search Engine based on Elastic search is desirable. Software Integration experience across multiple platforms – API, Gateways and/or Message Bus is desirable. Experience working in a large multi-cultural, international, non-profit organization is desirable. Experience in data analytics or related areas is desirable.LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English is required.
