– Fleetthis opportunity is for you!Main tasks and responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the global category strategy at Hiab with a focus on high performance and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Create, develop and execute category strategies to minimise total acquisition cost whilst maximising sustainable and operational performance across Hiab to secure benchmark total cost of ownership as well as driving profitability and growth.
- Manage all global category level sourcing activities and secure demanding and complex multi-tier sourcing arrangements, promoting Supplier Relationship Management and early supplier involvement.
- Take cross-functional leadership and participation in service development, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), early supplier involvement and selection with technology development, and business process and system implementation.
- Define and reach targets for Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation in the category
- Identify, implementing and monitor cost saving & compliance actions to meet the year on year productivity & compliance targets for the category.
- Develop open book costings, budgets and service/raw material forecasting for the category.
- Identify and develop new service/manufacturing partners within right cost countries to support current and future needs of the business.
- Market intelligence: analyse and evaluate market and supplier / competitor trends to ensure that sourcing is based on best practice intelligence, market benchmarks.
What you’ll need to succeedEducation
- Degree and/or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or business discipline.
Experience
- At least 7 years of relevant global industrial experience
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in senior sourcing roles including category management in an international and multi-site company
- Experience in working with large suppliers with global multi-site footprint and managing supplier relations and negotiations.
Competencies
- Excellent knowledge in sourcing methods; category and supplier relationship management, RFx execution, contract negotiation, analytical skills and legal/contractual knowledge in areas such as service level agreements and intellectual property.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a business-driven and fact based approach towards suppliers with a focus on building long-term relationships.
- Excellent communication, cooperation and influencing skills when working with different senior level roles internally within Hiab and Cargotec and externally with different suppliers
- Senior level development and implementation of long term business relationships and/or strategy in business or operations.
- Fluency in English language
- Readiness for short-term travel
