This is a permanent position based in Espoo, Finland.You will focus on delivering world-class insights and analysis on renewable product markets to a broad range of stakeholders at Neste, with the main intention of supporting the Renewable Products organization in achieving its short-term business targets. Besides colleagues in your own team, in this role you will work closely with Commercial Steering, Margin Management, Supply Chain Optimization and other teams focused on sales, feedstock sourcing and trading.In our team, you will have a key role in the team’s value creation towards our stakeholders and all the way to top management decision making. This will include following up with market developments, updating market models and supporting other team members in key processes. In addition to your own areas of responsibility, you are specifically expected to independently manage and develop processes related to the team’s models, tools and data.This position will allow you to get an overview of Neste’s renewable business. - Follow day-to-day developments in renewable markets and translate your understanding into short-term modeling inputs and valuable insights to support commercial decision making
- Support the team’s value creation towards key stakeholders, when it comes to supply and demand modeling as well as biofuel credit, feedstock and related commodity price forecasting
- Ensure a smooth flow of data to the team’s key processes and market models through efficient collection, structuring and visualization of data
- Proactively develop team’s tools, processes, models and data management
The best combination to succeed in this role
- Master’s degree from e.g. business, economics, engineering or other applicable field
- Strong commercial mindset and excellent analytical problem solving skills, supported by a solid quantitative toolkit and IT skills
- Previous experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Data management and visualization in the context of an analyst team, with preferably some coding experience (e.g. R, Python, App script)
- Market analysis or experience from a relevant industry/function (e.g. commodities trading, finance, market intelligence, management consulting)
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders clearly and in a convincing manner in English
- High level of independence and drive for continuous improvement
Other strengths we value
- Previous experience from biofuels, renewable energy, oil & gas, chemicals, commodities, financial derivatives or process industries in general
- Advanced knowledge on Google tools/MS Office, PowerBI/Looker Studio and/or a market data management tool (e.g. Zema)
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
