Job DescriptionMission and Reporting lineReporting to the Simulation Leader, the Heat Transfer Simulation Leader will lead the simulation to allow optimized product sizing and ensure correlation with test.Scope of WorkThe Heat Transfer Simulation Leader is responsible for the management and development of the simulation development tools allowing to optimize accuracy and consistency of simulation.The Heat Transfer Simulation Leader is also responsible for supporting pursuit activities, participate to the optimization of processes, always in line with customer quality requirements.The role

• Manage and develop the heat transfer simulation tools and support ESTRA strategy
• Build up algorithm description of existing tools allowing easy maintenance of software
• Ensure the simulation tools are able to deliver robust heat exchanger product data sheets
• Work with external supplier/consultant on specific project or product to deliver best product solution to our customers
• Provide simulation according to customer requirement and in line with pursuit/project deliverable with decent risk/tolerance evaluation
• Develop ability to extrapolate key characteristics(J & F) of heat exchanger performance from CFD and from performance test results
• Support Product Engineer in technical solutions discussions
• Ensure correlation between the simulation tools and experimental tests (1 D simulation, CFD and FEA)
• Support the laboratory for HEX test/simulation correlation
• Support system simulation using Kuli software and product data sheets

Skills and abilities

• Expertise in heat transfer and/or fluid mechanics (PhD preferred)
• Expertise and experience in automotive technology, products and requirements
• Ability to develop technology starting from white page
• Outstanding communication with everybody and team spirit required
• Training and tools sharing of new hired colleagues
• Initiative, and pro-active attitude
• Proposal/driving force for continuous improvements
• Ability to work in an international environment
