Health & Safety Manager3PL Logistics & distribution OperationBurton Upon Trent, East Staffordshire£45,000 – £50,000 (Depending on Experience)Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional ready for a new challenge? We are looking for a dynamic Health & Safety Manager to lead and manage the Health & Safety strategy across our multi-site business. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees through the implementation of effective safety practices, procedures, and compliance standards.The Candidate;
- Proven experience in a similar Health & Safety role, preferably across multiple sites.
- Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate).
- Strong knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with BRCGS accreditation standards is highly desirable
- Experience in logistics, warehousing and brewery environments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies and procedures across the company.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations and standards, including ISO 45001.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
- Lead and coordinate Health & Safety representative meetings and training sessions.
- Advise management on legislative changes and best practices in Health & Safety.
- Manage accident investigations and near-miss reporting, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Oversee the coordination of First Aid and Fire Safety representatives across all sites.
- Stay current with industry regulations, ensuring timely updates to company practices.
- Oversee all aspects of health and safety, including risk assessments, procedures, and training across multiple sites.
