Job Description:The role with this financial services client of ours is focused on enhancing the oversight of Data Risks for a local entity, aligning with group-wide policies, programs, and standards. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the risk profile and trends are well-articulated, providing guidance on data risk management.The position reports to the VP of Data Risk Management.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Data Risk Management Frameworks and Policies, including risk appetite measures.
  • Implement a Data Risk Management Roadmap for effective oversight, incorporating metrics and key indicators.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging data risks, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead compliance initiatives with data risk regulations applicable to European banking institutions.
  • Conduct Data Risk assessments and challenge the identification of potential risks.
  • Support various projects, including the EU Banking Licence application and related workstreams.
  • Stay informed of data risk developments and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development of regulatory and risk reporting submissions, collaborating with relevant teams.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management in alignment with the organization’s risk appetite.

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience leading complex business, data, or technology initiatives across multiple business lines.
  • Strong understanding of data governance best practices and industry trends.
  • Experience in Board, Risk, and Regulatory Reporting oversight.
  • Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority and communicate effectively across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Creative, analytical thinker with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with constant change.
  • Experience in roles with regional mandates and collaborating with senior executives and regulators is preferred.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • College or university degree or equivalent experience in the financial services industry.
