We are seeking a dynamic and visionary professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about making a difference.As Chief of Staff for the therapeutic areas in GPS you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive support to the Therapeutic Area (TA) Head(s) of [Oncology /Immunology & CVRM / Neuroscience] and the respective TA Leadership Team(s). In particular, planning and managing their strategic portfolio and priorities. You will act as a trusted advisor and a strategic thought partner, facilitate the execution of key initiatives, drive alignment across the organization, and ensure the efficient and seamless operation of TA. You will oversee priority deliverables, including visibility into key milestones, oversight of meetings and engagements that drive their progress, monitoring and reporting back on implementation, and coordinating information sharing and communication to key stakeholders and GPS as a whole. This opportunity provides extensive exposure to senior leadership and you will often work in a cross-functional setup, collaborating with multiple stakeholders both within and outside of GPS. You will report to the Therapeutic Area Head of [Oncology /Immunology / Neuroscience] and will be a member of the respective TA LT(s).Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and ExecutionCollaborate with the TA heads to define and set strategic priorities, strategic review cycles, and operational plans.Lead implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations (e.g., QBR), and communication materials for various audiences, including senior leadership and GPSLT.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster relationships and drive strategic collaborations.Serve as a central point of contact for the TA Leadership Team(s).Cascade key decisions made by the TA Leadership Team(s) to the appropriate channels, following up on their execution; communicate across TA(s) and contribute to building and enabling TA/GPS cultureOperational ExcellenceEnsure smooth day-to-day operations of the TA.Streamline processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Facilitate and help in the enablement of effective decision making and execution of key strategies, including orchestration of key discussion and decision meetings including QBRs and intersection with DB/BBs.Define the TA(s) LT’s meeting cadence, agenda and logistics in collaboration with the Operations Partners.Ensure, in partnership with functional business partners, the implementation of corporate planning processes and alignment with targeted goals and outcomes.Influence and sense the systemServe as a coach and catalyst to theTA LT(s) and GPS community.Be acutely aware of GPS and the TA(s) organizational health and culture.Shareback any critical organizational health issues with the LT and identify action plans to mediate/ mitigate.Act as a thought partner, drive engagement and change management in collaboration with GPS leaders and the People & Culture function.Project Management and Community ContributionLead cross-functional projects to ensure the timely and successful delivery of initiatives.Develop and manage project plans, track progress, and identify risks and mitigation strategies.Contribute to the community of CoSs to ensure seamless knowledge exchange, effective/efficient. collaboration and sharing standard practices across the organization.Lead community of Operations Partners for TA(s)Who You AreExperience: At least 10+ years of work experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other highly-regulated industry. You have worked in a global environment, and have familiarity in leading complex, high-impact projects from design to execution and lead teams in a matrix setting.Exhibits strong proactive characteristics with a confidence to think and act independently whilst ensuring consistent alignment with managerExperience in leading large-scale initiatives/projects/programs in a matrix organization. Exceptional project management and operational leadership skills with extensive experience in organizing, leading, driving and implementing multiple complex initiatives.Exceptional prioritization skills, especially with regards to tasks, meetings and initiatives.Highly effective at teamwork and collaboration, including collaboration with senior leaders, building a broad and deep network that extends beyond GPS, and representing the voice of the organization across multiple forums.Excellent verbal and written communication (English a must, other languages a plus).
