Our client, a rapidly expanding organisation, is looking for a Finance Analyst Lead to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role comes as part of ongoing growth, following recent senior-level hires within the company. The successful candidate will be based in Cork, working in a hybrid capacity, and will contribute to the company’s financial strategy and performance analysis.Role Overview:In this position, you will be a key member of the Finance team, collaborating closely with senior management to deliver commercial and financial insights that support business decisions. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take on a leadership role in managing financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities to help drive company success.Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning efforts.
  • Analyse financial results, identifying variances against budget and forecast, and offer strategic recommendations.
  • Create and present comprehensive reports for senior management, detailing financial trends and projections.
  • Provide detailed financial insights and performance metrics to guide leadership in decision-making.
  • Manage cashflow forecasting and ensure that payments and collections align with contractual terms.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as needed to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with the Finance team to optimise processes and introduce best practices.
  • Support tax-related matters, internal audits, and quarterly financial reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fully qualified Accountant with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, or a similar role.
  • Controllership experience with the ability to deliver insights that drive improved financial performance is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience working within an SME organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with solid commercial awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
