With us, you get the opportunity to develop your career through projects in both renewables and oil and gas.We are looking for experienced Material Handling Engineers to join our team and play a crucial role in the planning, development, and implementation of material handling systems that ensure safe, efficient, and effective maintenance operations.About the positionThe position will focus on designing solutions that align with NORSOK S-002 standards, ensuring that equipment and systems are accessible for maintenance on offshore installations.Responsibilities and tasks include
- Acting as the Technical Lead for Material Handling in EPCI/FEED projects related to modifications on the Norwegian Continental Shelf
- Developing and updating Material Handling Reports according to client and project requirements
- Preparing comprehensive Material Handling Plans covering full project scope, including transport routes and crane studies in line with NORSOK R-002
- Maintaining and updating material handling plans and reports to meet client specifications
- Conducting offshore site surveys when required to ensure project accuracy
- Performing 3D modeling of Material Handling Equipment and integrating designs into broader project layouts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, specifically in upstream oil and gas projects
- Previous experience in similar roles with a clear understanding of project phases, milestones, and key deliverables
- Thorough knowledge of industry standards including ASME, API, BS, and European regulations
- Proficiency with tools like Navisworks and 3D modeling software for reviewing and presenting designs
- Familiarity with oil and gas industry standards, particularly those related to material handling
- Experience with 3D modeling and the ability to integrate equipment into larger project models
Personal qualities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively present technical issues to design teams, project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies
- Team-oriented mindset, capable of collaborating with people across all levels of the organization
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment
