Your role focuses on modernizing business processes, improving customer experience, driving digital transformation, and ensuring the organization’s operations are agile, efficient, and future-ready. You will work across various teams including product, operations, technology, and finance to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies that align with the company’s growth and innovation goals.Your impactStrategic Leadership:Lead the design and execution of the company’s transformation strategy, focusing on digital innovation, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer experience.Collaborate with senior management to define transformation roadmaps, business models, and operational frameworks.Drive initiatives that streamline processes and improve profitability.Digital Transformation:Spearhead the adoption of new technologies, such as automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, to enhance underwriting, claims processing, and customer engagement.Work with IT teams to implement digital platforms, ensure seamless system integration, and optimize data flow across the organization.Process Optimization:Analyze existing workflows and operational processes within underwriting, claims, sales, and customer service functions to identify inefficiencies.Implement process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) to improve speed, reduce costs, and eliminate bottlenecks.Ensure continuous improvement in product development cycles, risk management, and compliance.Customer Experience Enhancement:Collaborate with customer service, marketing, and sales PwC teams to develop initiatives that improve the overall customer journey.Introduce self-service platforms, mobile apps, and personalized product offerings that cater to evolving consumer preferences.Lead efforts to gather customer feedback and adjust services accordingly to drive satisfaction and loyalty.Regulatory and Compliance Management:Ensure all transformation activities comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage risks related to changes in operational procedures or technology adoption.Change Management:Lead change management initiatives, ensuring that all employees are engaged and supported throughout the transformation process.Provide training and development programs to upskill teams on new processes, technologies, and ways of working.Project Management:Manage the full lifecycle of transformation projects, from concept through to execution and post-implementation evaluation.Use project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.Track performance metrics and report progress to stakeholders.Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, vendors, and consultants.Provide thought leadership and insights into industry trends, competitive positioning, and best practices for transformation in insurance.About youMasters in (applied) economics, business engineering, civil engineering, actuarial sciences or another relevant economic major, possibly via a second Master or PhD.8+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on business transformation, operations, or digital innovation.Proven experience leading transformation initiatives, preferably in a consulting or insurance company environment.Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting, claims management, and customer service operations.Familiarity with digital tools and technologies relevant to the insurance industry (automation, AI, data analytics, cloud computing, etc.).Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.You are fluent in Dutch and/or French, as well as English.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Expertise in change management and process improvement methodologies.Analytical and strategic thinking with a focus on problem-solving.Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.Proficiency in digital tools, data analytics, and emerging technologies in insurance.Life at PwC BelgiumOur culture and workplace are something we’re proud of.
