Req ID FEQ425R628As a Pre-sales Manager (Data & AI – Financial Services – Banking and Capital Markets) you will lead a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects focusing on complex Enterprise accounts, helping to lead our UK&I expansion. Your experience partnering with sales organisations will help to close revenue, whilst coaching new sales and pre-sales team members to work together. You will guide your team and be involved with opportunities to enhance your team’s effectiveness. You must be an expert at communicating complex, business value-focused solutions; supporting complex sales cycles; and building relationships with key stakeholders in large corporations.You will report to the Director, Field Engineering ManagerThe impact you will have:

• Describe what a person needs to accomplish in a role. Make sure it is objective and Manage hiring, onboarding, and building your Pre-Sales Solutions Architect team. Analyses team skills gaps and proactively make plans to address them.
• Rapidly scale the designated team without sacrificing quality. Accountable for achieving the targets of the group.
• Build a collaborative culture within a rapid-growth team. To embody and promote Databricks’ customer-obsessed, teamwork
• Support increase in Consumption on investment of Solutions Architect involvement in sales cycles
• Promote a solution and value-based selling field-engineering organisation
• Display an understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned vertical
• Build Databricks’ brand in UK&I in partnership with the Marketing and Sales team

What we look for:

• You will typically have experience in pre and/or post-sales in a relevant technical domain. Experience in pre-sales manager role in developing, managing and building a team of successful Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals
• Experience in complex strategic accounts and navigating technical challenges.
• Have experience scaling and mentoring field and technical teams
• Expertise in Big Data or AI/ML solutions, ideally familiar with real hands-on experience, building in production workloads.
• Knowledgeable in and passionate about data-driven decisions, AI, and Cloud software models
• Great at instituting processes for technical field members to improve efficiency
• Market experience of the UK&I region
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
