Join us to create the future Posti!We are now looking for 1–2 new professionalPrivacy Specialist(s)to provide support to Operations at each of Posti’s Business Groups to comply with the privacy requirements.The Privacy Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting our privacy frameworks in Operations at each of Posti’s Business Groups. The specialist will assist in ensuring that our personal data handling practices are transparent, secure, and compliant with data protection regulation (e.g. GDPR), working closely with operations’ teams and the Head of Privacy/ Data Protection Officer as well as other privacy specialists within Posti Group to integrate privacy policies into our data practices and operations.Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing privacy governance model, privacy policy, processes and procedures in line with GDPR requirements in all Posti’s Operations
- Support the integration of privacy by design methodologies into Operations related development projects and data processing activities
- Ensure that Privacy Impact Assessments are conducted and kept up to date for all Operations processes and personal data processing as well as assist in audits of internal privacy procedures and Operations related products
- Promote privacy awareness within the group and in Operations in particular, and participate in the development of internal privacy training programs
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to align privacy compliance with broader cybersecurity initiatives
- Keep abreast of legislative and regulatory changes pertaining to data privacy and adjust internal operations processes accordingly
- Assist in managing and responding to data subject requests, data breaches, and other privacy-related inquiries
- Work closely and as a team with the Head of Privacy/ Data Protection Officer and other privacy specialists to report on privacy compliance metrics and suggest improvements.
To succeed in this position, we hope that you have:
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Technology, Legal Studies, or a related field; a focus on data protection laws is highly desirable.
- Experience in data protection and privacy, particularly within the context of GDPR compliance.
- Solid understanding of data protection impact assessments and privacy auditing methodologies, and interest in understanding their meaning and implementing their purpose in Operations.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and assessments, and creating privacy-focused training materials and instructions, both in Finnish and in English. Swedish language skills are regarded as benefit.
- Ability to see and understand the big picture as well as strong can-do attitude.
- Effective communication skills with a knack for presenting complex matters in a clear, concise manner.
- In addition to great people skills, strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Willingness and motivation to continuously learn new skills and new substance areas as well as genuine interest in deepening the privacy competences, incl. studying for and obtaining the CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe) -certification.
- Experience in logistics or transportation businesses and consumer businesses is an asset.
