Exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join the expanding accounts team of one of Ireland’s leading Motor companies on a permanent basis in Dublin West. Reporting into the Head of Finance for the Irish division of the business you will be responsible for end to end accounts payable duties, tax returns, managing supplier relationships, daily banking and accounting duties.The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 2 years of previous experience working within a busy accounting team and be an ambitious person who is looking to progress their accounting career in an exciting and dynamic company.

- Salary: €35,000 – €42,000
- Based in West Dublin
- Hybrid: 3 days in office per week
- Free lunch provided for days that you are in the office

- Hours: 9am – 5:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update Registrations file reconciliation and Daily Sales Report
- Prepare and submit tax returns and related reporting
- Compile and manage Sales Channel and banking Year-to-Date reports
- Oversee Intrastat submissions and manage incentive reporting
- Conduct banking subsidised finance analysis
- Record purchase invoice log data
- Process invoices, manage expenses, and handle payment runs
- Post payments and send remittance advice; resolve Accounts Payable queries
- Submit Statistical Code and Vehicle Registration Tax filings, and handle Society of the Irish Motor Industry registrations
- Manage Direct Accounting invoices and update price files for the Aftersales department
Key Skills/Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in the retail/motor industry is a distinct advantage
- Open to someone who is looking to pursue an accounting qualification (Accounting Technician or ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Good communication and relationship management skills are required
