We strive for excellence in managing risks, providing sustainable solutions, and supporting global markets with energy expertise.As part of the Risk Management team, you will play a key role in managing credit exposures, enhancing risk frameworks, and collaborating across departments to ensure top-quality reporting and portfolio management.Your ResponsibilitiesCredit Risk Management:
- Perform daily analyses of credit exposures and track credit risk KPIs.
- Assess the creditworthiness of counterparties to ensure informed decision-making.
- Actively manage counterparty portfolios, including ratings, limit settings, and monitoring.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate credit risks effectively.
Framework Development:
- Contribute to the development of Axpo’s risk analytics framework, encompassing market, credit, and liquidity risk.
- Enhance Business Intelligence and reporting capabilities.
Collaboration and Structuring:
- Work closely with traders and originators on credit risk structuring for various deals.
- Provide analytical support to internal stakeholders, including the Management Board, Group Functions, and Audit teams.
Systems and Analytics:
- Test and support new system implementations, including Credit Risk Management and Reporting Systems.
- Conduct in-depth analyses and special projects as requested by senior management.
Your ProfileEducation and Experience:
- University degree with top grades in Economics, IT, Engineering, Math, Physics, or similar fields with a strong numerical foundation.
- Prior experience in credit risk management or the energy/commodity trading sector is an advantage.
Skills and Expertise:
- Solid understanding of financial instruments (Futures, Swaps, Forwards, Options), their valuation, and credit risk implications.
- Affinity for legal topics, including insolvency and contract law.
- Proficiency in IT tools and systems is highly valued.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and innovation abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for report writing and stakeholder interaction.
- A structured and methodical approach to projects.
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Language Proficiency:
- Proficient in English (mandatory).
- German or additional languages are a plus.
