Scala DeveloperJoin a high perfomring team in developing a cutting-edge global financial regulatory reporting solution.New role for a Scala Developer to contribute to a strategic project. You’ll work closely with business analysts and solution architects to define and implement technical requirements.Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business analysts to define and refine solution requirements.
  • Develop and maintain components of our regulatory reporting application.
  • Aggregate and process large datasets efficiently.
  • Adhere to best practices and contribute to a high-quality codebase.
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies to advance the platform.
  • Participate in agile planning and prioritization sessions.
  • Provide day-to-day support for the platform, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong proficiency in Scala (3+ years)
  • Solid software development experience (5+ years)
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of MongoDB, Cassandra, or MS SQL Server
  • Functional programming experience
  • Experience with Scala streaming libraries (Akka Streams, ZIO, fs2)
  • Proficiency in Jenkins and Ansible
  • Cross-functional collaboration with teams in different time zones
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
  • Background in regulatory reporting or capital markets
