Join our Waste-to-Energy Consultancy team and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.Your new roleAs our new Senior Engineer, you will be part of our team in Copenhagen (Ørestad) or with location in Aarhus. You will participate in conceptual design, tendering and implementation of new large WtE facilities, revamping or optimization of existing WtE plant with e.g. flue gas condensation and additional cleaning steps as e.g. Carbon Capture.Your key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the technical aspects of flue gas treatment of WtE plants, including technical specifications for tender documents, evaluation of suppliers’ technical proposals, review of the suppliers’ designs, participate in HAZOPS, technical discussions etc.
  • Develop and recommend process design options at conceptual level to identify the solutions that best suit the clients’ priorities and future developments, both for waste-to-energy facilities with and without Carbon Capture.
  • Conduct condition assessment of existing flue gas treatment plants and recommend optimization possibilities, and how to integrate carbon capture in the flue gas treatment system.
  • Troubleshooting on flue gas treatment plants and initiate investigations that provides better understanding of the challenges involved.
  • Participate in development activities within the area (e.g. to increase recycling of residues, develop process modelling tools)
  • Be an active contributor to our competence team of experts within Environmental Control & Chemical engineering, and the development activities within this expertise area.

  • Professional working experience within flue gas treatment plants, e.g. from design, procurement, manufacturing, operation, maintenance, lifetime extension etc. preferably from WtE plants, more than 10 years of experience is preferable.
  • PhD, MSc, or BSc within Chemical Engineering.
  • Familiar with relevant regulations, norms, best practice for emission control and flue gas treatment plants.
  • Excellent spoken and written English. Good Danish/Swedish/Norwegian skills would be an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
