Do you excel in fostering client relationships and pursuing groundbreaking projects that lead to FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management) contracts?Join us as a pro-active Business Development Manager for Energy Transition, where your extensive network and understanding of the industry, combined with a proactive and structured approach, will be instrumental in ushering in an era of sustainable energy solutions.Your new roleAs the new Business Development Manager in Energy Transition Norway, you will play a leading, client facing role in developing marketing opportunities and translating customer enquiries into high quality technical and commercial proposals. This will include developing consulting projects, providing strategic advice to clients, and driving business development initiatives.Key tasks and responsibilitiesYou will collaborate closely with new prospects and existing clients, together with Ramboll project management and tender teams, and apply your commercial and technical expertise to support account new business initiatives. This will include;Opportunity Leadership and ManagementLeading and managing energy transition consulting opportunities from identification to booking.Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring the delivery of winning proposals.Coordinating and overseeing multi-disciplinary tender teams, ensuring timely and quality delivery.Preparing and presenting detailed reports and recommendations to clients.Technical Expertise and AdvisoryProviding expert advice in one or more of the identified technologies/sectors.Staying ahead of market trends, legislative changes, and policy advancements to provide a forward-thinking perspective to clients.Conducting feasibility studies, economic analyses, and risk assessments for the renewable market.Client Relationship ManagementBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the renewable sector.Supporting clients in navigating regulatory frameworks and securing necessary approvals.Business DevelopmentDeveloping and implementing strategies to grow consultancy services within the energy transition market.Participating in marketing and promotional activities, including conferences, webinars, and publications.Targeting and cultivating relationships with pivotal clients to reinforce business growth.Team Leadership and DevelopmentFoster a culture of knowledge sharing.Create an environment that encourages innovation and adaptive learning.Staying updated on industry advancements and integrating new knowledge to the group.About youFrom the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field with focus on industry, energy, or environmental sectors.Significant and measurable experience from Power-to-X technologies, CCS/CCUS sector or energy intensive industries, with a proven track record in technology, consulting or project management roles.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in economic modelling and data analysis.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.Ambitions of leadership and team management, with capabilities in mentoring and developing junior staff.Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory frameworks in the renewables sector.Preferred QualificationsProfessional certifications related to renewable energyPrince II certificationFluency in Norwegian and EnglishPlease note, this position may require occasional travel to client sites and industry events.About RambollFounded in Denmark, Ramboll is a foundation-owned people company.
