As part of DHL, you will be working with a global network of CRE colleagues and benefit from a wide range of development opportunities.We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Technical Facility Manager to oversee the facility maintenance and services for our new facility at Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The Technical Facility Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our facility is safe, functional, and well-maintained to support the smooth operation of our core business. The role has scope to expand after two years to include additional sites.This is an immediate, full-time, fixed-term two-year position in EMEA, based in Helsinki, Finland, with the potential to convert to a permanent position after 12 months.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement facility management strategies, policies, systems and procedures.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
  • Manage and coordinate vendor contracts for cleaning, maintenance and other facility-related services.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage space utilization, office layouts, and furniture arrangements to meet the needs of the business.
  • Develop and oversee budgets for facility-related expenses and track expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce the facility’s environmental impact and operating costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support facility-related projects and initiatives.
  • Provide facility related reporting measures for our corporate and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in facility management, with a strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both Finnish and English.
