We are EATON!What you’ll do:As a Field Service Engineer (FSE) within EMEA you will be supporting and leading service activities for large LV/MV data centre projects in the field. To provide a first class service for the Eaton installed base products to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty. Responsible for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance and product repairs. Offer support to the extended EMEA Service community through high level technical knowledge and experience in the field.
- Responsible for leading LV/MV Data centre commissioning activities across EMEA
- Provide highest level of technical expertise in all Hyperscale commissioning activities
- Support and train Local FSE’s in level 3 (L3) commissioning activities
- Works with and provides troubleshooting and technical support for junior field service engineers
- Provide timely, detailed and accurate site reports on service work performed, product performance and warranty liabilities
- Manage key account technical escalations providing support including site visits, to engineers and customers alike. Drive escalations to conclusion and provide feedback as necessary
- Collaborate closely with the Project management with support of high profile clients, providing technical advice and attending site visits as required
- Maintain direct links with business units and act as local point for all technical exchange regarding the LV/MV commissioning procedures and testing
- Manage local FSE and sub contractor installation teams as and when required
- Demonstrate safety consciousness in equipment handling, electrical procedures and the unique situations encountered at diverse work sites. Assist with procurement and maintenance of PPE for field resources
- Perform Health & Safety audits of FSE’s and subcontractors ensuring the high standards required by EATON are maintained
Qualifications:
- Electrical education required – Installer electrical background
- 5-10 years of experience, preferably within data centre environment
Skills:
- Low and medium voltage switchgear electrical installation and commissioning experience essential. Knowledge of in depth commissioning procedures covering primary and secondary injection testing, protection relay testing, polarity testing, insulation and high voltage testing. Programming of PLC control systems (Power Control, Generator Control, SCADA, or process control) an advantage.
- Good understanding of UPS products would also be advantageous
