The ideal candidate:

  • Proficiency in operating forklifts, powered pallet trucks, and magaziners.
  • Strong ability to follow procedures and processes accurately.
  • Excellent documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is an advantage.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee product safety, legality, and quality in line with Quality Management System procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to load and unload materials effectively.
  • Assess and improve systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure a safe and orderly work environment by complying with company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Accurately receive, store, pick, and dispatch loads.
  • Maintain Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
  • Report nonconformance issues, incidents, and accidents promptly.
  • Manage internal movements, including transfers and breakdowns, following SOPs.
  • Monitor and report any pest sightings and glass breakages.
  • Uphold housekeeping standards and ensure cleanliness.
  • Verify batch numbers and quantities for storage location accuracy.
  • Confirm container numbers for outgoing shipments and assist with relabelling packaged goods as required.
  • Control inventory levels through regular physical counts and balance checks.
  • Adhere to warehouse discipline and perform inspections, value-added activities, and any tasks assigned by management.
