The School and RoleAn Alternative Provision school based in Christchurch are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school caters for primary and secondary age pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour.The Behaviour Support role is an amazing opportunity for somebody who wants to make a difference to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and support young people to access education. You will offer guidance and support both in the classroom, and also with their social and emotional development.RequirementsThe desired Support Assistant will have;

  • Experience of working with primary and/or secondary school aged children
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support is preferable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • A positive attitude and a desire to make a difference
