Job DescriptionPlan and manage hydrotesting activities including pretest line walks, flushing, pressure testing, chemical cleaning, draining, air blow, flange management, and reinstatement.Ensure proper maintenance and readiness of hydrotesting/flushing equipment throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate subcontractor activities such as swinging/blanking test spools, scaffolding erection, and third-party N2He testing.Liaise effectively with client representatives, office engineering teams, and site teams to ensure timely progression of site activities.Collaborate with multi-discipline leads to integrate hydrotesting activities across the project spectrum.Provide feedback on operational challenges and suggest corrective actions.Conduct site inspections, identify non-conformances, and recommend corrective measures.Ensure all work complies with hydrotesting and flushing procedures, including the use of appropriate tools and documentation.Maintain and analyze test boundaries, set up testing vents and drains, and ensure proper barricading with signage.Participate actively in daily toolbox talks to ensure team awareness of work scope and safety measures.Develop and maintain the Testpack Register, updating it daily to align with project specifications.Prepare and deliver weekly summary reports on hydrotesting, flushing, chemical cleaning, air blow, and reinstatement activities.Sign off on relevant MCCRs in the PIMS system, ensuring accurate records of hydrotesting activities.Monitor and ensure the storage, preparation, maintenance, and calibration of testing pumps, pressure recorders, hoses, and gauges for safe use.Coordinate with the QA/QC Manager and Foreman/Engineer to address and resolve identified issues.Support technical audits and contribute to the development of new methods to improve hydrotesting activities.Perform other duties as assigned by the discipline lead and construction manager.Ensure adherence to hydrotesting and flushing procedures.Coordinate the identification and implementation of correct test boundaries and limits based on the latest P&ID markups, ISOs, and construction standards.Facilitate the progression of commissioning activities and resolve hydrotesting-related issues to maintain project efficiency.Proactively identify critical daily activities to improve quality, productivity, and safety.Qualification RequirementsPossess a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or bachelor’s degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering. Extensive industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Piping Supervisor or Site Engineer within FPSO/FSO, drilling platforms, or shipyards.Proficient knowledge of ASME B31.3 and API 5L standards.Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills applicable to a multidisciplinary project team.Excellent problem-solving abilities and persuasive communication skills.Fluent in English, both written and verbal.Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PIMS).Recent relevant experience in Middle Eastern or Southeast Asian shipyards is advantageous.Strongly desired recent experience in modification projects and/or FPSO redeployment.Proven ability to manage large-scale projects in the Marine industry, including team leadership and pre-commissioning/commissioning expertise.Relevant experience in North Sea project execution is advantageous.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a multi-tasking environment, meet tight deadlines, follow through on commitments, and take necessary actions promptly.
