Do you enjoy taking responsibility and like working in a small team?Do you have an interest in Irish Food, Drink and Horticulture?Are you looking to make a difference in what you do and have the relevant experience?Then you’ve come to the right place.Regional Manager Asia, Africa & Middle EastDublinReports To: Director, Global Business DevelopmentGrade: 3The salary scale for this role is €87,389 – €103,927New Entrants to the Public Sector commence on the first point of the ScalePurposeBord Bia has a vision that customers around the globe recognise that Irish food and drink is world-class; that it is high quality, distinctive, and made by a diverse range of creative producers from a unique and fortuitous island location.Our purpose is to bring Ireland’s outstanding food, drink and horticulture to the world, thus enabling growth and sustainability of producers.In this role, you will develop and lead the delivery of Bord Bia’s route to market services and activities in designated export markets to drive the commercial success of the Irish food and drink Industry.What you’ll doLead the regional team across five offices to deliver integrated regional efficiencies and performance, national level responsiveness and agility and cross-market capacity to leverage resources and learnings, developing improved ways of working to deliver on strategy and achieve KPIs.Develop regional strategies, aligned with the corporate strategy and market prioritisation, to Initiate and lead discussions on transnational opportunities or challenges and coordinate integrated activities and client services to address these, while sharing and instilling best practice across the five offices whilst embedding adherence to One Bord Bia operating model.Lead integrated client customer planning across the region, in association with the Global Relationship Manager, ensuring teams regularly review their customer segmentation, broaden their footprint and understanding of their gold customer accounts and deliver top-to-top customer engagement across the region in line with market prioritisation.Champion senior management’s understanding of local market needs, transforming market insights into strategic intelligence, and ensuring the voice of the customer is embedded in all of the We Must Dos (WMD) by playing an active role in one of the WMD steering groups.Lead trans-national senior engagement with DAFM, DFA and other Irish stakeholders to organise trade missions and Bord Bia involvement in all relevant Irish government and stakeholder visits to the markets, showcasing the impact of Bord Bia’s activities in-market and actively involving Irish government Ministers, Bord Bia’s CEO and the GBD Director in top-to-top customer engagement to progress business objectives.Map out and configure resources, influencing both budget and workforce plan allocations, to achieve an efficient distribution of assets and resources to deliver on strategy. This also includes championing the talent academy programmes across the region and effectively reviewing and managing assigned budgets in accordance with One Bord Bia processes, procedures and policies.Demonstrate senior management leadership behaviours and organisational values to ensure a OneBordBia mindset through regular team meetings, agreeing priorities through formal PDP and PGP conversations, informal feedback, and coaching. Ensure clear roles and responsibilities across the team empowering direct reports to manage autonomously and clearly signposting issues that should be escalated.
