Job description
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage IT staff in Geneva and overseas (4 people).
- Ensure effective communication and support across teams.
- Foster a collaborative environment and address unique location challenges.
Technical Expertise:
- Install, configure, and maintain systems, hardware, and networks.
- Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all components.
- Monitor technological trends and analyze business needs.
- Perform backup, recovery, and migrations as needed.
- Troubleshoot and document systems.
- Document IT activities, system configurations, and procedures.
- Draft and update IT guidelines and wikis.
- Assess and renew computer equipment and materials.
Operational Support:
- Provide helpdesk support and answer technical queries.
- Configure systems for new employees and consultants.
- Train employees on best practices and manage external service providers.
- Propose and manage the IT budget.
Security Management:
- Conduct regular security checks on systems and networks.
- Investigate and resolve system anomalies.
- Manage user access and accounts.
Highly operational (Technical role, System and Network Engineering background)Appetite for team management and excellent communication skills
- University degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Previous experience as an IT Manager and solid IT Infrastructure Engineering experience
- Experience in the energy or mining sector is a plus.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining IT infrastructure (Microsoft Hyper-V).
- Network experience (Cisco) and Microsoft Azure experience (VDI, Storage, Log Analytics).
- Proficiency in Network Security (Fortinet products), Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 10/11.
- Knowledge of network performance tools (Zabbix, Azure Log Analytics).
- Strong planning, organization, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Attention to detail, confidentiality awareness, and ability to work under pressure.
- Autonomy, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Proficiency in English and French (written and spoken).
