We are now looking for a Lead Piping and Layout Engineer to join Liquid Wind and play a crucial role in designing efficient and sustainable plant engineering solutions. There will be some travel within the role. The company language is English, and preferably you understand and speak a Scandinavian language. You will report to the Head of Engineering and Project Management based in Hørsholm, Denmark.About the role
As Lead Piping and Layout Engineer, you will lead the development of piping systems and layouts for our eMethanol facilities, ensuring they are efficient, safe and cost-effective. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, harmonize project standards and oversee the integration of designs to ensure seamless coordination. By leading 3D design reviews and resolving interface challenges, you will help deliver world-class engineering solutions aligned with Liquid Wind’s mission to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors. You must hold a valid European working permit to be considered for this position.You will, among other things:
- Design and validate piping systems and layouts to meet project requirements and standards.
- Lead 3D design reviews with cross-functional teams to address design challenges and ensure project integration.
- Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines to optimize layouts and ensure smooth collaboration.
- Develop and maintain internal standards and procedures to ensure quality and consistency across projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, including ASME, EN, and ISO.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with a strong background in piping design and layout optimization. You are detail-oriented, solution-focused, and thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments. With excellent problem-solving abilities and strong leadership skills, you ensure successful project execution and contribute to a high-performing team culture.To succeed in this role, you:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Have at least 8 years of experience in piping design and layout within plant engineering.
- Are proficient in 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS, or E3D.
- Possess strong knowledge of piping design codes and standards, including ASME B31.3 and EN 13480.
- Have a proven track record of leading 3D design reviews and resolving multidisciplinary interface challenges.
- Demonstrate expertise in layout optimization for accessibility, safety, and maintainability.
