A key responsibility of the GDI unit was to solidify ITC’s standing as a UN-System leader in the performance of UN-SWAP 2.0. In 2019, UNSWAP performance rating was 81% 94% in 2020, 88% in 2021 and 88% in 2022. ITC also strengthened its performance under each indicator and increased the number of ‘exceeds’ ratings from 31% in 2019 to 56% in 2022. In 2023, ITC successfully increased its rating from 88% to 94% and fortified its performance under each indicator by achieving an “exceeds” rating of 65%. In 2024, ITC aims to solidify under each indicator as well as maintain its overall performance above the 90% rating. This ends the five-year cycle of the UNSWAP 2.0 framework and an updated framework, UNSWAP 3.0, has been introduced, with expanded targets, which will be reported against starting in 2025. In addition to the UN-SWAP business owners, the GDI unit also coordinates Business Owners from the United Nations Disability Strategy (UNDIS) along with ITC’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Group. Using an intersectional approach to D&I, ITC furthered its mandate relating to D&I-areas beyond gender, such as disability inclusion, LGBTQI+ inclusion, racial and geographical diversity as well as Mental Health and Well-being. Sustaining and building on these gains is paramount to an intersectional, mainstreamed approach to GDI and to GEEW. D&I focal points contribute to UNSWAP and UNDIS activities, largely related to organizational culture and leadership. Beyond UN-SWAP and UNDIS compliance, the overarching aim of the GDI unit is to drive progress towards ITC’s GDI mainstreaming goals and promote an inclusive organizational culture through enhancing staff capacity and accountability at all organizational levels. Description of Duties/Responsibilities: The consultant will work under the supervision of Chief, Strategic Planning and Performance & Governance, to develop new approaches to the implementation of key UN and ITC strategies and frameworks for GDI, strengthen organizational culture through increasing internal knowledge and capacities with regard to GDI, and streamline ITC’s work on GDI to have an organizational impact on the overall execution of the GDI project. Documentary proof is to be submitted to ITC. Should any license fee be due for the use of copyrighted materials of third parties, the Consultant shall request the prior written permission from ITC.
