We believe in the power of great people and are committed to driving innovation, diversity, and sustainability.As our Mechanical Engineer, you’ll work in our R&D center in Kolding, Denmark and play a crucial role part of the R&D team and will participate in the development of energy management products with special focus on 3 phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and power converters.What You’ll be doing:

  • Mechanical design of UPS and Power converters, including parts, subparts, interfaces and interconnections (busbar, cable harness), labelling, packaging, pallet etc.
  • Create and maintain bill of material and produce documentation in line with Schneider Electric procedures
  • Creation and validation of CAD models and drawings.
  • Define, plan and execute mechanical tests (transportation, vibration, highly accelerated life testing (HALT) both internal and in collaboration with external bodies for quality, robustness and compliance.
  • Provide mechanical technical support in investigating field failures and returns, when needed.
  • To stay updated on new technology, share knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement and best practices of the R&D department, including the creation of new design standards.
  • Cross functional collaboration to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality releases

What Will Help You Succeed:

  • You have a degree in Electromechanical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Design knowledge of Sheetmetal, busbar, plastic, cable wiring etc.
  • Good knowledge on design for manufacturing, reliability, safety, quality, and costs.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (We use Creo together with a PDM system).
  • Experience for large kVA power electronic converter solutions will be a plus.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS) for design and analysis is an advantage.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping techniques (e.g 3D printing) will be an advantage;
  • You are fully proficient with written and spoken English
