Due to our forecast for the future indicating increased and sustained demand. Archer is seeking experienced NDT Inspectors to join the Inspection Team in Sandnes.
As an NDT inspector you will take part in the daily inspection operations.
Key responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Inspection of downhole tools in accordance with relevant standards
  • Inspection of various components of drilling equipment
  • Conduct thorough inspection of client equipment in accordance with our procedures and external procedures as requested by client
  • Carry out inspection of parts/components within area of responsibility and in accordance with approved data (manuals, procedures and customer requirements. All work shall be documented.
  • Internal and external reporting in accordance with requirements
  • You must have a desire to work closely with others, be proactive and take ownership.
  • Customer follow-up as the project requires
  • Decide, in accordance with acceptance criteria, whether parts are serviceable or not, and specify necessary repair work
  • Perform minor repair work
  • Communicate any technical problems with their supervisor in a timely manner
  • Perform work in compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements, attend quality related training, and at all-time comply with the company quality policy
  • Shift work can be expected
  • Duty/On call rotation
  • Overtime if required
  • High focus on QHSE

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Experience in downhole/BHA tools and thread inspection is preferred.
  • NDT level 2 with a minimum MT/PT
  • Experience in lifting gear & ET/UT inspection is an advantage
  • Knowledge of NS2, DS-1, API RP7G / ISO 10407 and ISO 10423
  • Good data/computing skills
  • Driving license required
  • Offshore course and health certificate is an advantage
  • Forklift & crane certificate is an advantage
