Centria University of Applied Sciences is recruiting a Robotics Expert to join our Centria Robotics and Artificial Intelligence top research unit, participating in the RECIRCULATE project. This Horizon Europe initiative focuses on robotized disassembly of electric vehicle (EV) batteries, applying AI, machine vision, and digital twins in an industrially relevant context.Your Role
You will contribute to high-impact R&D by:
– Developing and programming industrial, mobile, and collaborative robots
– Implementing simulation, off-line and on-line programming techniques
– Building and integrating systems using ROS/ROS2
– Applying digital twins and VR interfaces for advanced robot control
– Advancing human-robot collaboration (HRC) in dynamic environmentsTeaching Responsibilities
In addition to R&D tasks, the position includes teaching in Finnish in the following subjects:
– R&D Project in Mechanical Engineering
– Hardware Development and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
– Wireless Systems
– Production Planning and ControlRequirements
– Proven expertise in robotics: ROS/ROS2, simulation, programming, and deployment
– Experience with digital twins and virtual environments for robot interaction
– Understanding of industrial robotics, mobile platforms, and collaborative systems
– Strong interest in research-based teaching and working with students
– Fluency in Finnish is required for teaching responsibilitiesWe Offer
