The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of electrical engineers, with unique possibilities to lead interesting and challenging projects from concept to final product – Shipbuilding A to Z.Vard Design and Engineering, Electrical Department is through the role as integrator, the coordinating interaction between suppliers of computer-based and electrical systems in order to integrate them into a vessel-wide system of systems.
- Architect secure and resilient network zones and segments, including assignment of systems.
- Ensure that ship digital solution integration is engineered according to building specifications and applicable rules and regulations for the maritime sector.
- Gather supplier documentation, familiarize with the solutions and describe vessel-wide system of systems.
- Participate in further developing the deliverables of the Safety, Digital & Cyber team.
Qualifications
- Relevant Education within OT, IT and Automation or related fields
- Relevant experience (we encourage any experience level and seniority to apply)
Advantageous with experience in these fields;
- Industrial IT and OT
- Digital Network Infrastructure design, deployment and operations
- Data models, OT and IoT communication protocols
- Frameworks like NIST, ISA/IEC 62443.
- Knowledge of IMO regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL), flag state requirements, and class rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, Lloyd’s Register).
- Experience with APIs and system integration methods.
- Platforms for IoT, data lakes, analytics, cybersecurity
