Job description
The Sea Freight Forwarding Officer (d/f/m) will be responsible for the following task area:
- Coordinating the launch of new sea freight lanes from European countries
- Acting as the primary client contact during implementation, providing regular updates and proactive solutions
- Drafting, reviewing, and updating SOPs tailored to specific customer and lane requirements
- Managing first-level escalations and deviations, resolving issues efficiently
- Collaborating with internal teams, including operations and contract managers, to align goals and deliverables
- Monitoring KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
Leading logistics companyTry&Hire opportunityIn order to be considered for the role, the selected candidate must have:
- Apprenticeship in freight forwarding/logistics/Export/Import and first practical experience OR several years hands-on experience in freight forwarding preferably sea freight
- Experience in sea freight for Pharma and Healthcare clients is an advantage
- Experience with freight forwarding software and IT affinity; CargoWise experience is a big plus
- Hardworking team player with passion for this industry
- Fluent English, Flemish/Dutch is a huge plus, German is an advantage
