Senior Company Secretary | Multinational Insurance Organisation | Dublin (Hybrid)Oliver James is proud to be partnering with a leading international insurance organisation to recruit a Senior Company Secretary for their Dublin office.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced governance professional to lead a high-performing team supporting Irish, UK, and Swiss entities, along with a broad branch network across Europe. Operating within a globally respected legal and governance function, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance, supporting boards and committees, and advising on regulatory governance matters.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of two company secretarial professionals
- Oversee the governance framework across multiple European jurisdictions
- Provide governance advice and regulatory support to Irish regulated entities
- Organise, attend, and minute board and committee meetings
- Manage board calendars, track action items, and ensure timely follow-ups
- Maintain statutory records and company information using GEMs
- Coordinate timely delivery of board packs and governance documentation
- Ensure full compliance with CBI governance requirements
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across legal, compliance, and operations
What We’re Looking For
- Chartered Governance Institute qualification (essential)
- Honours degree or equivalent professional education
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Irish company secretarial roles
- At least 3 years’ experience within a financial services organisation (insurance preferred)
- Proven people management experience
- Strong knowledge of Irish company law and CBI governance regulations
- Excellent minute-taking, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with GEMs or Blueprint is a plus
