Job description
We are supporting a multi-national client in hiring a Senior R&D Engineer for a 12 month contract. This role will support the design, development, and commercialization of innovative medical devices. Based in Galway, you’ll work cross-functionally to turn research into real-world solutions that improve patient care.Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of medical devices from concept to launch
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support problem resolution
- Conduct and manage studies to support product development
- Translate research findings into manufacturable solutions
- Collaborate with clinical, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing teams
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience in medical device R&D
- Strong design, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with regulated environments (e.g. ISO 13485, FDA)
- Project management experience is a plus
