The position is principally located in Gothenburg Sweden. This position reports to the Finance Manager Europe North & East, MEA.Main tasks and responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate accounting and reporting activities of a team to secure that they are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevant accounting principles, regulations and standards, whether established by Essity, by authorities or regulators .
• Take ownership of the comprehensive GL accounting process, from transaction recording to month-end closing completion and reports preparation for Essity’s Nordic and Baltic companies.
• Maintain a complete and accurate General Ledger in accordance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate month-end closing activities within a matrix organization according to the reporting schedule for Essity’s Nordic and Baltic companies.
• Act as a key speaking partner for accounting and reporting services, providing professional accounting advice in complex area of expertise.
• Perform regular quality checks and secure Accounting processes as defined in framework agreements and/or Service Level Agreements.
• Coordinate delivery of timely responses to external and internal auditors’ requests in GL accounting & reporting area. Resolve audit findings.
• Take an active role in projects and initiatives to continuously enhance accounting and reporting services in a matrix organisation.
• Support strategic projects and lead sub-project stream in Accounting & Reporting area.
• Coordinate and support annual Key Internal Controls Self-evaluation process in Nordic & Baltic countries.
• Collaborate closely with the stakeholder network.
• Lead, evaluate, direct, empower and develop the Accounting team.
• Maintain end to end thinking and performance in everyday service delivery.

Who You AreWe are looking for someone who has strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards. To be successful in the role you need to be a communicative team-player who operates with a positive and pragmatic can-do attitude, embracing change and dealing with ambiguity and complexity. You are being able to work with multiple stakeholders while balancing multiple priorities. You are self-driven and communicate effectively. You have an experience of working in matrix organization.Requirements:

• Min. 7 years with substantial experience in a Finance organization.
• Experience in leading a service-oriented team in an international organization (preferably in a multi-cultural environment) is an advantage.
• Bachelor or master’s degree in finance area or equivalent (Certified accountant if applicable).
• SAP ECC and S/4 and Office 365 experience.
• Proficient in English – oral and written communication skills.
• Other language skills an advantage.
