We have an exciting opportunity in our finance team for an Accounts Assistant. Working within a finance team and with colleagues in medical practices across Ireland, the Netherlands & Germany, this role will be responsible for efficient and accurate assigned accounting and processing tasks. The finance team deals with AP/AR/Payroll/Banking & Treasury management, monthly management accounts & related reporting, and statutory annual audited accounts.Benefits of working with Centric Health:1. Professional development supportSpecific Job Details:Position Title: Accounts AssistantLocation: Centric Health Head Office, Floor 7, RSA House, Dundrum, Dublin 16Contract: Permanent Full-TimeDirect Report: Ireland Accounting Team LeadKey Roles & Responsibilities:Accounting & Month-end· Recording transactions on the accounting system throughout the month, to include AP/AR, bank transactions and standardised postings· Month end journal posting to the accounting system for accruals for revenue and cost accounting, including revenue and cost accrual and ad-hoc journals· Month end analysis and reviews as requestedAccounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable· Onboarding new practices to Centric Health, this includes moving suppliers to our databases, switching Revenue to new Centric Health bank accounts and other admin duties involved with the process.· Assisting with the processing of invoices for approval on the (Continia OCR) invoice registration and approval system) including assigning accurate cost centres and invoice descriptions to all invoices and downloading invoices from online portals to process for approvals· Assisting the AP team with Purchase order processing, set-up of new suppliers, issuing remittance advices, supplier reconciliations· Assisting AR with the issuing of customer invoices and revenue posting to the accounting systemBanking· Assisting with the management of bank accounts including opening new accounts and management of customer receipts to correct accounts· Maintenance of banking information, mandates, list of direct debits/standing orders etcGeneral· Assisting with the management of the email queries received by the AP department/ accounting team· Supporting the team on projects, for ensuring an efficient and effective finance systems, processes and reporting· Working closely with colleagues in the finance team, practice managers and other colleagues.· Other ad hoc tasks and reporting as requiredPosition Requirements:· 1+ years’ experience in a finance function· A committed and flexible approach to work and a curiosity to learn about the business.· Exemplary attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy· Strong skills in Excel and an aptitude for systems· Accounts package and online invoice approval system experience Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Continia an advantage· Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player as this role will deal internally with different colleagues across the group and with external suppliers. · Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.· Confident committed individual who can prioritise and works well under pressure and to deadline.Organisational RelationshipsDirect Line Manager Ireland Accounting Team LeadInternal Communication Financial Controller, Regional Managers, Practice Managers, and finance team colleaguesExternal Communication Suppliers, Customers, auditors, bankersResponsibilities for Continuous Self Development: The job holder is responsible for maintaining their own continuous self-development in agreement with the AP/AR Manager.
