Salary: €16 per hour

The aim of our houses is to provide a family style environment in which the young people can safely live whilst they are involved with the programmes on. On top of that the Clinic aims to create a community in which the children can learn to live in cooperation with each other and with the adults. They also aim to identify and address the underlying bio-psychosocial factors leading to the observed emotional and behavioural problems of concern. The ultimate goal is to help young people and their families achieve their highest potential in respect to interpersonal, intrapersonal and occupational functioning.
It is the responsibility of the Activity Therapists to support the Primary activity therapist and Social Pedagogues in the daily routine and tasks across the three houses in Galtee Clinic and to work towards achieving the goals set out in the placement plan with the team and y/p.Requirements:

• Level 7 or 8 in Applied Social Studies or similar field
• Experience in Children’s Residential Care
• Full manual licence and car
