We oversee the whole value chain, from bid acquisition to asset construction and operation. Working as part of a leading European utility also means you could be helping a growing number of major businesses and brands achieve their own sustainability goals through partnerships.QualificationsYour role – what will you do?As an Advanced Engineer, you will ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of SCADA systems across Vattenfall’s onshore and offshore wind farms. You will play a vital role in designing, commissioning, and maintaining SCADA platforms, enabling real-time monitoring and control of critical wind farm operations.You will be deeply involved from early project phases through to operational support, collaborating with engineers across disciplines to ensure robust, compliant, and optimized SCADA solutions.Your responsibilities will include:Daily operation to ensure a reliable, secure, and efficient operation of wind farmsManage the interface between SCADA, turbine control systems, substation automation, and central data centers.Analyze and optimize system performance, availability, and data integrity.Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of operational SCADA platforms.Document SCADA system architecture, configurations, and procedures.Participate in 24/7 on-call duty rotation and provide critical support during system faults or outages.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, OEMs, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout the product lifecycle.Your profile – who are you?You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field and have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with SCADA or industrial automation systems, ideally within the renewable energy or utility sector.You bring experience in:Transport of real-time and historical data from assets to data consumersCommunication protocols (e.g., MQTT, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, Modbus, OPC-UA).System integration between SCADA level 1 systems, PLCs, RTUs, and control equipment.Alarm and event management, historical data collection and reporting.Cybersecurity standards, regulations and best practices for OT environments.Automation mindset and knowledgeFluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and product-oriented thinking is desirable.Personal traits:You are driven by purpose and take responsibility for delivering high-quality solutions.A natural collaborator who thrives in cross-disciplinary teams.Calm under pressure and skilled at managing both planned and unplanned work.Methodical and attentive to detail – you see documentation as part of engineering excellence.Passionate about renewable energy and enabling digital transformation in critical infrastructure.Additional InformationOur offerAre you looking for more than just a job?
