The supply chain department is seeking a strong addition to their team.As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in transforming our current manufacturing processes across several areas. Your daily work will involve addressing a mix of technical and process-related challenges. We are looking for a leader who can challenge the status quo with fresh perspectives and drive plans to implementation.To thrive in this role, you should be capable of managing multiple complex tasks simultaneously. We believe you are a strong organizer and self-starter who can effectively lead yourself and others. You will hold a pivotal position, collaborating closely with the management team.In this role, you will be responsible for departmental operations planning and execution or focusing on professional activities within a technical discipline. You will work with some autonomy, guided by established policies and expected to deliver results that meet quality, volume, and timeliness standards. While adhering to these standards, you will also have the opportunity to modify procedures and practices to improve processes and outcomes.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesDrive transformation in manufacturing site in terms of improved output and efficiency. Use solid background in process development/improvement leveraging good interpersonal relationship and influential leadership.Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing advanced manufacturing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.Work with manufacturing leadership to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.Monitor and improve productivity through the use of Lean Six Sigma or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are timely and cost-conscious and met with quality.Ensure early focus on manufacturability in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs. Drive rigor in process capability assessment, process layout, tooling and equipment development.Work alongside Design Engineers to support development of experiments to increase safety, quality, delivery KPIs, as well as reduce costs.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent education with demonstrable background in process and equipment improvement / development.This role requires advanced experience in the Manufacturing process development space.Good interpersonal skills and ability to navigate different work cultures in a global and diverse environment.Strong process development/improvement background with solid deliverables individuals willing to contribute and learn from other team members.This role requires a regular presence in our manufacturing site in Uppsala, Sweden (on-site role) and interaction with several departments local and global.Desired CharacteristicsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Integrity, high sense of ownership and humility to learn and contribute.Strong oral and written communication skills.Good understanding of equipment software programming, automation and/or electronics is a plus.Masters/PhD could be considered a plus.Inclusion and DiversityGE HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
