The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in AI and has spent time the past 2 years working with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating AI-driven solutions into real-world applications, working closely with software engineers, and product teams.Who We AreLuzmo is an embedded analytics platform that enables software vendors to integrate interactive dashboards and insights directly into their applications. Rebranded in 2023 and backed by fresh funding, the company is set for significant growth.Key Responsibilities:Integrate AI/LLM models into product workflows (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.)Optimize AI model performance (latency, cost, throughput)Design, build, and maintain backend APIs and services using Node.jsBuild internal tools and APIs for experimentation and prototypingEnsure system reliability, scalability, and observabilityStay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML (LLMs, vector databases, LangChain, etc.)Contribute to architectural decisions around AI infrastructure and backend systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver AI-driven insights.Master’s or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.Strong understanding of AI concepts, particularly LLMs and their usage in productionFamiliarity with AI/ML frameworks or APIsUnderstanding of performance tuning and cost optimization for AI models3+ years of experience in backend development, preferably with Node.jsExperience with testing of AI based featuresExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Working knowledge of SQL and databases (relational and column stores).Familiarity with AI ethics, bias mitigation, and explainability in AI models.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Solid English communication skills (written & spoken)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in fine-tuning and optimizing LLMs for specific tasks.Understanding of MLOps and CI/CD pipelines for AI model deployment.Contributions to AI research or open-source projects.Knowledge of RUSTWhat this job offers:An exciting scale-up environment with growth opportunitiesShaping the analytics experience of the futureCoaching by a great engineering teamCompetitive base salaryFlexible holiday policyRemote working possibilitiesInternational get-togethersThe equipment/software/tech that you need to do your job
