We are present on four continents and are headquartered in Oslo, Norway.Main purpose of positionCurrently we are looking for a highly motivated and analytically strong Analyst to join our Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) team in Oslo, Norway and to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. This role will focus on merchant market intelligence and portfolio risk analysis across renewable energy technologies—solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) – with a particular emphasis on our European asset pipeline.
You will play a key role in shaping our understanding of power market dynamics and risk, supporting strategic decisions across business development, project finance, and offtake structuring. Over time, we envision this person becoming the computational brain behind portfolio management and origination in Europe. The role will also support and collaborate with our global scope.Main responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth risk analysis of our PV/wind + BESS with a portfolio-wide perspective, optimizing btw. risk and stabilized return
• Develop and maintain quantitative models to assess merchant market exposure and revenue risk
• Translate complex power market data into actionable insights to support decision-making across Business Development, Project Finance, and offtake strategy
• Contribute to the enhancement of our global merchant market reporting framework, including support to build portfolio risk models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development and origination strategies with robust analytical input

Qualifications and competencies

• Master’s degree in Industrial Economics, Applied Economics, or Engineering with a strong economic/quantitative focus
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience in power markets, energy trading, or risk analysis
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Python is essential
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for data analysis and automation is a plus
• Solid understanding of European power markets and merchant risk
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and think strategically
• Excellent communication skills in English
