Anaplan Center of Excellence (COE) LeadDo you have a strong interest in enabling technology to improve business processes? Are you excited about air travel and becoming a key player in enterprise financial planning, supporting SAS’s delivery of its strategy and business plan?SAS is in a very exciting period going through its biggest single financial restructuring in history. In 2023, a consortium of investors – the biggest being Castlelake, AirFrance/KLM, and the Danish State – agreed to provide the necessary funding, enabling SAS to proceed with completing the U.S. and Swedish legal processes.
SAS Finance has an ambitious digitalization agenda going forward, to improve speed and agility on multiple dimensions. Our mission is to shift the perspective from reporting actuals to rolling forecasting on a granular level and up to several years in a more condensed, but still integrated planning. We will build a comprehensive capability to swiftly update our long-term financial plan and model various scenarios and outcomes. SAS has chosen Anaplan as an FP&A tool for these purposes.You will establish and lead SAS Anaplan COE with at least one additional Anaplan Builder in team. Your mission is to directly contribute to the ongoing development of Anaplan according to business requirements.This is a position located in our head office at Frösundavik, Solna.Main dutiesCOE establishment and project management
- Establish and lead SAS Anaplan COE
- Manage projects by driving design sessions, gathering requirements, providing status updates, delivering solutions
- Maintain sprint plans, follow build standards, and track issues/requests
Anaplan System development and administration
- Understand business processes and business requirements
- Translate requirements into functional requirements and use cases, articulating solutions to the stakeholders as this role involves discussion at various levels with business stakeholders
- Design and build Anaplan application models to support business processes
- Build and develop Anaplan modules and list based on the model blueprint
- Configure and maintain Anaplan lists, modules, dashboards, actions, and other model settings to meet business needs
- Transform and implement multi-dimensional structures to support business processes
- Implement high-quality code using best practices
- Monitor data flows to and from the system to ensure all data is up-to-date and accurate
- Define and administer user roles and permissions in Anaplan
System training and expertise
- Maintain expert model-building skills in Anaplan and be the point person for functionality and data definition
- Primary contact for model troubleshooting and enhancement requests
- Grow superuser base and expand knowledge of Anaplan to the business
- Provide hands-on support/training to end users on Anaplan models and processes
Your profile
- Proven ability to successfully manage projects with multiple stakeholders involved
- Driven and self-going individual with proven strong ability to work independently with limited operative support
- Collaborative and data-driven problem-solver who value connections between facts, figures, strategies and people
- Ability to collaborate closely with all business controllers, the wider Finance community, Digital/IT and over time further business process owners across SAS as the Anaplan tool is rolled out to other departments
- Ability to dive into the details to convert business requirements to actionable items
- Possess business acumen, strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills, ability to explain and translate between technical and non-technical people
- Proven ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment and manage a high workload
Your knowledge and qualifications
- Strong expertise and deep understanding of multi-dimensional modeling
- Excel spreadsheet modeling, macros, pivot tables, formulas, charts etc.
- Subject matter expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals. P&L, BS, CF
- Experienced and established finance systems professional with hands on experience with Anaplan both functionally and technically
- Previous Anaplan COE Lead with team leadership experience highly valued
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as Anaplan Builder at either a larger complex corporation and/or consultancy firm specialized in Anaplan services and implementing full end-to-end projects in the past.
- In depth knowledge of the airline industry is a huge plus but not a requirement
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field, e.g. Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, etc required
- Fluent in English, Swedish is a plus
