You will be the first of your kind in GEA focusing on environmental services, but you will not be completely alone — expert colleagues are always ready to share knowledge, and help you succeed. It is a function where professionalism and genuine teamwork go hand in hand.“This is a chance to really make your mark and a difference in a market that orbs around green transition – and doing so in a global, complex organisation with an amazing array of different nationalities, personalities, and expertise”, says Claus Heiber – Director Service Sales.As our new Area Sales Manager for service within the environmental segment, you will take the lead on selling complete solutions, service agreements, upgrades, and refurbishments for our spray drying absorption plants in the Waste-to-Energy, Iron&Steel, and Power industries. You will be the key driver in building customer relationships, securing service transitions, and growing our business across international markets.You get a broad range of responsibilities when you:

  • Ensure a smooth transition from the sale of new equipment to long-term service partnerships
  • Act as the link between local GEA teams and customers to coordinate service solutions and offers
  • Respond to customer inquiries and proactively present relevant upgrades and services
  • Support the launch of new service products in collaboration with Product Management
  • Strengthen local service capabilities by sharing technical knowledge and best practices across markets.

This role will take you traveling 40-50 days a year – primarily to our two major markets in Asia and the US. Here, you will visit customers and our local sites, who you aid with central, technical support.Your Profile / QualificationsYou are proactive, curious, and ready to build something new — with a natural drive for collaboration and business development. Also, you thrive in an international setting, enjoy creating structure, and know how to turn technical insights into customer value. Furthermore, you have a strong commercial mindset and perhaps knowledge of industrial production processes, particularly spray-drying technology.We imagine that you:

  • Have a technical background – e.g. environmental engineer, chemical engineer, mechanical engineer, marine engineer, or similar – and a solid understanding of a service business
  • Bring experience with B2B service sales, preferably within industrial or environmental technologies
  • Are confident reading technical drawings and discussing solutions with engineers and customers alike
  • Communicate fluently in English and enjoy working across cultures and geographies – perhaps from a larger and complex organisation
