Do you have the right commercial attitude to create an impact on our Polyalphaolefins (PAO) business and position for future growth?The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for every aspect of sales and promotion of Polyalphaolefins (PAO) products in an assigned territory. This role will be responsible to look for existing and new product applications in line with Product Line objectives and strategy.Selling and promotion of Polyalphaolefins (PAO) products or applications to existing and potential customers:Promote sales in alignment with short & long term Business/Sales planDevelop sales through customer visits and contacts/networking, including identifying and developing new customersNegotiate within assigned territory and recommend commercial agreementsProvide service support or complaint handling and problem solving in case of issues and questionsPromote developmental products to existing and potential customersPlaces emphasis on the promotion of the product range to existing and potential customers for existing or alternative applications initiating new valuable business opportunitiesAdminister prices within the appropriate delegated authority/requests approval when price deviations are requiredAcquire, share and communicate market intelligence, changes in competitive market activity, supply and demand, pricing trends, political & economic conditions, etc. with the management and colleaguesEnsure that all requests from customers are handled in due time, including administrative follow-up of salesAssist with the collection of any necessary customer financial informationEnsure the use of proper payment instruments and is responsible for the collectionCreate quotations and forward them for approval to PL Manager according to the related proceduresProvide all necessary information and direction to CSR’s to enable them to carry out their job effectivelyAdhere to forecasting requirementsProvides progress reports (sales, markets, customer, application) and accurate input for annual sales budgetCoach and manage local agents or distributors by giving relevant information & sales strategyHow does our ideal candidate look like?Preferably academic degree in chemistry or equivalent by experienceRelevant Key Account/Global account experience of 5-10 years or 0-5 years for a junior area sales managerAmbitious, structured, well organized, proactive, result driven, strong negotiation and communication skills and is willing to continuously learnComputer literacy (Office 365, SAP/APO, Vendavo, etc,..)Well-organized, result driven personality who want to create an impactFluent in English, other European languages are an asset (knowledge of German, Dutch or French is highly recommended, any other language from any Eastern Europe Country are a strong asset)Willingness to travel about 40-50% (EAME)Able and willing to commute to our EA HQ in Diegem on a regular basisPerformance by design.
