Barden have been exclusively engaged by a growing business, based in Kilkenny to identify an experienced Assistant Account to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting time for the business as they are experiencing significant growth and transformation across the finance function.ABOUT THE ROLE:
Ensure high accuracy in managing AR and AP ledgers, achieving month-end close in line with business requirements, and promptly resolving queries.
Fully responsible for processing AR and AP ledgers, including invoices, credits, receipts, and payments.
Conduct timely and effective debt collection.
Take ownership of month-end bank and supplier reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Experienced in automated and online processing across banking, revenue, HR, and other systems.
Assist with tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, with prior experience in timely and compliant filings to Revenue & HMRC.
Collaborate with finance colleagues to drive efficiencies in monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow) and other monthly reports.
Provide support for the annual audit to ensure timely sign-off.
ABOUT THE PERSON
Qualified Accounting Technician or equivalent certification.
Proficient in Sage, IT/ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to quickly adapt to various financial software.
Experienced in accurately allocating revenues and costs by contract.
Strong experience in managing relationships and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Familiar with consistently meeting regulatory and statutory obligations within deadlines.
Effective communicator and team player.
Highly organized, self-driven, and detail-oriented.
