JOB DESCRIPTION:Job Title: Junior AccountantSalary: €38k-€42kLocation: Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, Co MonaghanRef: S011696Description of Role:Our client is now seeking a Junior Accountant to join their busy manufacturing company in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan. As a Junior Account Assistant, you will be an integral part of Finance Team, responsible for supporting the finance team in managing daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The role is onsite at their manufacturing plant.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft business central) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills..Key Duties & Responsibilities:Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, supplier and customer statements.Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Assist in preparing VAT returns, payroll tax submissions, and other regulatory filingsEnsure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.Assist in maintaining accurate Stock Records and Monthly ReportsIdentify opportunities for improving accounting processes and internal controlsAssist in implementing financial software upgrades and automation.Support the external and internal audit processProvide general administrative support to the finance department.Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.For more information please send your CV to Bernie in confidence through the link.If you are living in Ireland and hold a VALID WORK PERMIT, please feel free to contact us directly.
