Dublin WestLeading Design Consultancy that specialises in project management and building services, engineering design for mechanical and electrical projects in the commercial, retail, education, health, power and industrial sectors has a senior opportunity for an ambitious Associate Director Electrical Engineer.The successful individual will have a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience and a minimum of a degree qualification. Chartership would be advantageous.General duties of the role will include:
– Monitor and maintain project profitability, billings & budgets of the department.
– Attend and actively participate at all internal management meetings as directed by the managing director.
– Act in the role of senior engineer as and when required by the nature of the Works.
– Accept responsibility for the management of all services disciplines on assigned projects.
– Prepare presentation, assemble team and attend such interviews with potential clients as may be required to secure professional appointments.
– Compile a professional fee proposal for projects, followed by the issuing of a fee and service proposal letter.
– Prepare a Schedule of manpower budget hours for each stage of the project together with an implementation programme
– Work with the client’s representatives and the engineering team to develop the design brief.
– Monitor, and prepare when required, detailed designs for a full range of building services installations in a prescribed manner and in accordance with recognised design procedures.
– Co-ordinate the production of relevant drawings and documents within the workload of the Company
– Monitor the design and documentation process and verify that tender packages are prepared in sufficient detail and on time to meet the project implementation programme.
