You will ensure the team delivers consistent, high-quality results in line with QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets. This includes building and staffing the team, defining project strategies, overseeing execution, and continuously identifying and standardizing best practices.As a people-focused leader, you will coach and develop your team, drive skill growth, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll be seen as a domain authority—both by your own team and your peers—committed to delivering excellence and technical leadership.Strong communication and motivation skills are essential, as you’ll be working closely with colleagues across multiple functions.You will report to Mikael Karlsson, Head of Mainline Onboard Engineering, and collaborate with both your team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure project success.We’ll look to you for:

  • Agree and implement the region centre guidelines (team profile and skills, growth plans, discipline evolutions in terms of technology, competitiveness)
  • Develop and maintain domain competences, coaching the team and growing World Class Engineering Experts
  • Set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and set deadlines
  • Provide support to team project execution
  • Promote Alstom values to his/her team
  • Be a People Manager by continuously motivate, encourage, evaluate, recognize, train, and develop resources, in cooperation with HR, as per approved performance evaluation process and targets
  • Deploy process, methods, and tools in System Design team, providing feedback for Process reviews
  • Collect REX from execution and innovation opportunities to feed Reference Library where applicable and share outcomes at department level
  • Manage adequacy between estimated workload and capacity, report status and issues to department head
  • Actively work together with other Team Leaders and Project Architect in the same PBS line (and across the whole Project as required) to ensure the overall Project Performance.
  • Supervise and participate in the System deliveries (requirements, system documentation, performance).

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer science or relevant work experience
  • Experience or understanding of project execution and management
  • Clear technical skillset and specific hands-on experience in System Design
  • Experience and understanding in project effort estimation.
