The Department of Clinical Epidemiology at Faculty of Health, Aarhus University, invites applications for a position as a biostatistician as per May 1st, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a 3-years full-time position.Department of Clinical Epidemiology We are an ambitious department and strives to maintain a position as one of the leading international research departments within clinical epidemiology. Our mission is to improve clinical care, among others, through global partnerships to produce high-quality clinical epidemiological research, promote education, and translate research into clinical practice. We collaborate nationally and internationally with other academic institutions, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as healthcare authorities. Ninety percent of the department’s funding comes from contractual research and from various foundations. We publish approximately 250 scientific papers and numerous technical reports every year.Department of Clinical Epidemiology is established as a joint research department between the Central Denmark Region, Aarhus University, and Aarhus University Hospital. The department is one of the largest epidemiology departments in Denmark with approx. 100 employees including 25 biostatisticians working with SAS programming. In addition, the department employs medical doctors, nurses, other healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and approx. 30 Ph.D. students.You will be part of an international work environment and a department that delivers state-of-the-art research within clinical epidemiology. The working environment is informal, supportive and inclusive. Development of employees’ competences through collaboration with colleagues, internal education programs, and visits to other research environments are very high priorities for us.Your job responsibilities You will perform data management in SAS and statistical analyses in SAS or R for the research projects in the department. You will be part of the entire process from unprocessed register data to input and comments to reports and scientific papers, and in close collaboration and dialogue with our other staff. In this connection, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading researchers in epidemiology. You will work in an international research environment and apply statistical methods to healthcare data in a unique setting. In this position, you will work in close collaboration with physicians and cancer researchers, in the field of hematology.Your qualifications We envisage that you have the following qualifications:
