Business Application Manager – Leading Financial Institution
Oslo (Aker Brygge) | Hybrid | Full-TimeWe’re hiring a Business Application Manager to join the technology team at one of Norway’s largest financial institutions. The organisation plays a key role in funding sustainable development across the country and is prioritising investment in modern technology.In this role, you’ll help manage and develop critical business applications used across lending, customer operations, compliance, and more. You’ll work closely with both internal teams and external software vendors to ensure our systems support the business effectively and evolve with its needs.Responsibilities:Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and define system requirementsTranslate business processes into system functionality and configurationCreate and maintain solution documentationCoordinate development and implementation with internal and external teamsManage and follow up on deliveries from software vendorsPlan and manage software releases and upgradesTake ownership of day-to-day system operations and supportWho We’re Looking For:Degree in IT, finance, accounting, or similar (relevant experience may substitute)Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar roleExperience with business applications and systems (operation, configuration, maintenance)Technical understanding (e.g. SQL Server, XML/XSLT, HTML, C#, .NET) is an advantageExperience working with vendors or integrated system landscapes is desirableFamiliarity with banking or financial services is a plus, but not essentialWhat’s on Offer:A central role in the implementation and development of two new core systemsExposure to a broad part of the business and the opportunity to influence system strategyA flat, collaborative organisation with a strong technical environmentProfessional development support (courses, certifications, conferences)Hybrid work model and flexible hours (core hours 09:00-14:30)Office in Aker Brygge with gym, cafeteria, and bike parkingAccess to a company cabin and apartmentSocial activities through an internal group (e.g. go-karting, sauna visits)This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work close to the business, take ownership of core systems, and contribute to modernising a key financial institution.Note: The company offers a profit-sharing scheme based on performance, but this is not guaranteed.
